Laudis®

Laudis is used as a wide-range broadleaf weed killer in corn, applied post-emergence. The Laudis preparation contains Tembotrione and Isoxadifen-ethyl. The new component, Tembotrione (of the F2: HARC group), has a different mechanism of operation to existing preparations in the market for post-emergence application in corn. Isoxadifen-ethyl is used as a Safener in this formulation. ‎‎‎The eradicated weeds are:‎‎‎ Broadleaf weeds: Abutilon, Amaranth species (albus, retroflexus, blitoides, palmeri and viridis), exploding cucumber, dyer's croton, Tribulus.

How to Apply

  • Post-emergence treatment on corn at the 2-6 leaf phase
  • Good extermination is attained when the preparation is applied to a young, rapidly growing weed following full emergence
  • Ensure full coverage with the spray to achieve optimal and efficient extermination
  • Do not treat with more than one spray per season

Mode of Action

  • The preparation suppresses the biosynthesis of carotenoids, damages chlorophyll and, as a results, causes pale spots on the leaves. The first symptom appears as a bleaching phenomenon of the leaves, 3-5 days post-application, which leads to necrosis of the leaves and the death of treated weeds after a period of approximately 14 days.
